Step 1. Online registration

Before the interview, all applicants must register at usvisascheduling.com to enable passport and document return. Email for scheduling inquiries: Support-china@usvisascheduling.com. Consulate address: #43 Hua Jiu Road, Zhujiang New Town, Tianhe District, Guangzhou 510623. Entrance is on Huaxia Road near Exit B1 of Zhujiang New Town Metro Station (Lines 3 and 5).

Interview day logistics

Medical examination

Schedule the medical exam immediately upon receiving the appointment date with a consulate-approved panel physician. The exam must occur before the interview. Approved panel physicians: Guangzhou: Guangzhou International Travel Health Care Center, 4F/5F East Tower, Poly Bld, No. 59 Huali Rd, Zhujiang New Town; Tel: (020) 81219500; Fees: RMB 1700 (age 15+), RMB 1500 (age 2-14), RMB 700 (under 2). Beijing: Beijing International Travel Health Care Center, 20 Hepingli North Street, Dongcheng Dist.; Tel: (010) 82005029; Fees: RMB 1831.80 (age 15+), RMB 1445 (age 2-14), RMB 705 (under 2). Bring to the exam: visa interview letter, passport, recent passport-sized color photographs, immunization records copy, and DS-260 confirmation page.

Documents to bring

Required documents for all applicants: copy of NVC interview letter; unexpired passport valid for at least 8 months beyond visa issuance (bring expired/cancelled passports too); two 2x2 inch (50mm x 50mm) full-face color photographs, white background, no eyeglasses, not more than 6 months old; DS-260 confirmation page from ceac.state.gov/iv; completed online registration at usvisascheduling.com; birth certificate (mainland China applicants: notarized copy from a local notary office stating date, place of birth, and both parents' names; include originals for all principal applicant's children); alias certificate if any other name was ever officially used; police certificate(s) for all applicants over age 16, issued within the past 24 months. CRITICAL: All documents issued in China must be translated and notarized by a local notary public office in China.
